Building trust through design: how glass partition walls shape our London project

What makes a client return to the same partner across continents, years, and workplace evolutions?

For IOC project partners, this question defines the essence of every long-term collaboration. Our recent project in the heart of Mayfair, London, represents a new chapter in a partnership that began in the United States and continues to grow through a shared vision of workplace quality. Glass partition walls, bespoke furniture solutions, and a multi-phase approach were essential in shaping a workspace that reflects the client's identity while supporting their expansion into the UK market.

A transatlantic story: from the U.S. to the UK

This project is not an isolated assignment: it's the natural continuation of a relationship built over time. After completing the client headquarters in the United States, IOC was asked to support the development of their new London building. Each phase reflects a consistent design language, a shared understanding of quality, and the ability to translate architectural intent into functional, elegant, and enduring environments.

From the very beginning of this collaboration, our role went beyond supplying products. IOC became a strategic design partner: supporting architectural teams, solving technical complexities, and ensuring that the identity built in the American offices would evolve coherently in the UK context. Maintaining continuity across continents requires more than a catalog, it requires a methodology, a consistent attention to detail, and a capacity to adapt solutions without compromising the original vision.

Glass partition walls played a central role in this evolution. They were not selected simply as functional dividers, but as elements capable of expressing transparency, control of light, acoustic comfort, and architectural clarity.

Beyond glass partition walls: why this client chose IOC again

It would be simplistic to say that this long-term partnership exists because of our glass partition walls. In reality, products are only the visible side of a much deeper relationship built on precision, dialogue, and trust.

What convinced the client, an important American asset management company, to choose IOC again was our approach:

  • the ability to listen to operational and architectural needs;
  • the capacity to translate those needs into tailored solutions;
  • the reliability required to manage complex, multi-phase projects;
  • the continuity between different markets, teams, and building environments.

For IOC, every workplace is an ecosystem where partitions, furniture, technology, and materials must coexist with harmony. Our glass partition walls, specifically the Ultralight system used in this project, are an example of how we interpret architecture: minimal, coherent, technically sound, and capable of elevating the overall experience of the workspace.

In London, the client appreciated once again our ability to manage the entire workflow: from technical discussions with engineers to alignment with general contractors, from early planning to on-site coordination. The result is not only a consistent environment, but also a confirmation that design quality is strongest when supported by an ongoing, collaborative relationship.

Phase two in Mayfair: A coordinated workplace ecosystem

The Mayfair headquarters demanded precision, flexibility, and a high level of coordination. This second phase of the London project included the integration of several solutions that needed to work together seamlessly.

13 Private Offices with Brera25

Brera25 was selected to deliver refined, ergonomic, and visually coherent private spaces. Its materials, details, and proportions establish a sophisticated atmosphere aligned with the architectural palette of the entire floor.

94 Workstations with Lotto

Lotto's modularity allowed us to create a fluid and efficient open-plan area while ensuring comfort and accessibility. The system adapts naturally to changes in layout, supporting future growth and possible reconfigurations.

Ultralight Glass Partition Walls

More than 100 linear meters of Ultralight partitions were installed, including solutions designed to absorb building deflection and comply with acoustic and safety requirements. These glass partition walls unify the entire project, connecting work areas with private offices while preserving clarity, daylight, and privacy.

Together, these elements form a coordinated workplace ecosystem in which every component supports the others. The complexity of the building, the tight timeline, and the need to integrate with pre-existing structures required careful project management, another reason the client relied on IOC for continuity and precision.

Glass partition walls, workplace quality, and the value of partnership

In today's workplace design, glass partition walls are more than architectural elements. They define the character of a space, shape user experience, and express the values of the organization. Transparency, focus, comfort, and visual identity all emerge through the right partition system.

But at IOC, the true value of these solutions is revealed through partnership.

The Mayfair project embodies what long-term collaboration means to us:

  • the ability to evolve alongside the client;
  • the commitment to deliver consistent quality across different countries;
  • the capacity to support teams, architects, and contractors with clarity;
  • the understanding that design is a dialogue, not a transaction.

Phase after phase, IOC continues to interpret the client's goals, translating them into spaces that inspire people and support their work. Glass partition walls, furniture systems, and technical coordination become the tools through which this partnership takes shape.

As the client expands into new markets and evolves their workplace strategy, we remain committed to delivering solutions that grow with them: refined, reliable, and designed to last.
